Magic Kingdom Expansion/Where Have I Been?

If you're a DisneyNut, like me, then you've heard of today's blog topic: the Magic Kingdom Expansion. It's supposed to more than double the size of Fantasyland. Work starts as soon as October and the whole thing opens in two phases; one in 2012(assuming we all live) and 2013. Remakes everything from where Ariel’s meet and greet is, moves Dumbo to across from Goofy’s Barnstormer, and goes back to the service road all the way across to the Toon Town Fair Tents. Most of Toon Town will cease to exist, but fear not, Barnstormer and Mickey and Minnie's houses will be safe.
Dumbo is also being redone, a fancier appearance and a second spinner is added to help accomodate the ride's popularity. Those who have been to Disney World know the hugely long lines and the lack of Fast-Pass.

Cinderella gets a larger meet and greet area. She moves away from her hue castle and onto a designated area in which guests can see her fairy godmother transform her rags to the beautiful ballgown. Guests can then either help her practice for the royal ball or train to be one of her knights. Along with Sleeping Beauty (Aurora) gets a meet and greet are as well. Guests can help join the celebration of Aurora’s 16th birthday with the 3 good fairies by making her birthday cards and then surprising her as she enters her party. Ariel’s meet and greet area (See picture at left) is also expanded along with a new attraction similar to the one under construction in Disneyland. It is rumored that the ride will likely use an Omnimover system and a clam shell looking tram/car similar to the ones found in the Nemo ride in EPCOT.

Belle from Beauty and the beast too gets an attraction (See picture at right), along with a “Be Our Guest” restaurant; which I can see becoming quite popular. Soon, Cinderella won’t be the only princess with a castle on the block. Though it will not be as grand in scale as Cinderella’s, it will however, be equally as grand. The adventure begins in the village, at Belle’s father’s house. A magic mirror will then transport guests to the castle, where the Beast will have taken up residence, and have the opportunity to retell the story of Beauty and the Beast for Belle. A small tavern, likely to be a Quick Service,  called Gaston’s Tavern will also be available for dining purposes. I personally cannot wait for these to be added to the Magic Kingdom.

Soon to be added to the area as well is an area for Tinkerbell and her new friends. This attraction, likely to make the last appearance in 2013, will be a recreation of Pixie Hollow and will shrink visitors down to the size of a fairy in similar fashion of that of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playset in Hollywood Studios. There, guests can play on playsets and meet Tinkerbell and her new friends.

So, now that my belated Sunday blog has been done, where have I been? I've been very very busy; I know, excuses, excuses Katie. But in the future, I will try to get this blog updated as soon as I can. But if i don't make a post for a while, don't get upset!

Today Was A Fairytale:)

I'm not sure if my first blog is supposed to be special, nor do I know yet what I am going to do with this site.
So, I suppose I'll just ramble aimlessly for now:)
I am in LOVE with the title song, Today Was A Fairytale by Taylor Swift from the movie, Valentines Day.
The movie was hilarious and the music was great. My friends and I all enjoyed it.
Yesterday was alot of fun. My Aunt was in town (She left today) and after my softball try-outs, we went shopping at the local mall. Athough we didn't have alot of time, we had alot of fun. My mom and my aunt splurged a little in Aldo, my aunt finding her long searched-for cowboy boots and my mom finding a delightful pair of wedges. I myself am still saving for items unknown. The next place we went was Sephora, where I fell in love with a Juicy Coture perfume, Viva La Juicy. It has notes of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and praline. It smells AMAZING, and it will soon be mine ;). Then, Bath and Body Works. One can never spend too much time in there. I got 3 lotions, P.S. I love you: "A flirty blend of soft petals, sparkling water, and fresh air inspired by the thrill of falling in love", Twilight Woods: "A hypnotic fragrence inspired by a romantic walk in enchanted woods", and Moonlight Magic: " Moonlight Magic is a cosmic blend of luminous fowers and lucious berries celebrating starry skies and a world of boundless imagination".

I'm rather excited for tomorrow to come. At noon on Sunday, the results of my week-long softball tryouts will be posted. Really nervous. Softball is almost my life, and it would be amazing to play on the team. Sunay needs to come sooner!

April first needs to come sooner. Both because it's April Fools Day and because the best song ever is released to iTunes. Remember the old show Ned's Declassified Survival Guide? Well the kid who played Ned, Devon Werkheiser, has a song called If Eyes Could Speak. He wrote it himself and it is...simply put, awesome. You should check him out on YouTube: WerkingItOut :)

I love moments when you feel like a little kid, and those come frequently for me. Just the other day, I dug out my old copy of the 2005 movie, Phantom of the Opera. I loved that movie way back when. Brought back lots of memories:)

Well..I seem to have run out of things to ramble about, so that's it from me today.
Bye Loves:)
